Before the current era, Mirriak was a studious, regal woman who embodied every aspect an empress of her stature should have. She could command a room just from the twitch of her finger alone, and respect was given without a word. She was the shining, powerful face of Kepla, but blow after blow has torn her from her glory. Once a beacon of hope for her people, Mirriak is now nothing more than a woman left grieving the death of her family, friends, planet, and people. Though she is meant to lead, she has resolved to spend the rest of her life in hiding, rarely entering the public eye. But the public has not received the full story; rather, there are things Mirriak hides about the many tragedies that have already tarnished her reign.

• Mirriak's brooch is a family heirloom. She planned on giving it to Ari, but...
• Mirriak rarely, if ever, leaves her palace home. She often takes vigils and can go days without speaking to anyone. The only people that can get her to speak are Nedia and Lissli.
• She likes cats and even has one of her own. He doesn't quite fill the gap Ari left, but it helps to have around. His name is Snowball.
• Mirriak still appears at festivals and cultural celebrations to keep spirits high. They're one of the few days where she appears in public.
